Stranger Things has introduced us to many monsters throughout the seasons. From the demogorgon, the demodogs, The Mind Flayer, and all the other creepy creatures in between. But I think the most scary of them all is definitely Vecna!

Not only does he freak you out in appearance, but this big bad is absolutely determined to take over the world. He has a very dangerous view of the human species and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Oh why couldn’t he just be dead after our heroes lit him on fire!?
Now he’s successfully opened the four gates in Hawkins and it looks like an absolute disaster! Poor Max is braindead and blind, and the Hawkins heroes have a lot to conquer. What makes Vecna really scary is his voice as well. So how did that come about?
The one behind the creepy voice is the Vecna actor himself, Jamie Campbell Bower! Can you believe it? I honestly thought it might have been some kind of technology magic that brought that voice to life. But nope! The actor fully immersed himself as the character in costume, and with the voice.
The official Netflix Twitter account shared a video of Bower recording a part of his speech to Eleven in volume 2. Seeing the lovely actor’s face with that voice instead of Vecna’s is creeping me out! But this guy is certainly talented. Now that is stellar voice acting! Wow, I’m so impressed!
