If you’re looking for something funny to watch, you should definitely check out Mafia Mamma starring Toni Collette. It’s now out and everyone’s talking about it. But if you have no idea where you can watch this film, we’ve got you covered.
Based on an original idea by Amanda Sthers, Mafia Mamma is an action-comedy flick helmed by Catherine Hardwicke from a screenplay co-written by Michael J. Feldman and Debbie Jhoon.
The movie follows a middle-aged suburban mom named Kristen, who unexpectedly inherits her late grandfather’s powerful mafia empire in Italy. Now tasked with leading the most powerful Mafia family in Calabria with help from the mafia’s trusted advisor, Kristen finds her new position taxing. To make matters worse, she finds herself in the middle of a deadly mob war.
Collette plays the protagonist, Kristen, a suburban American mom. Other than Collette, the cast is made up of Monica Bellucci, Rob Huebel, Sophia Nomvete, Giulio Corso, Francesco Mastroianni, Alfonso Perugini, Eduardo Scarpetta, Tim Daish, and Tommy Rodge.
Unfortunately, Mafia Mamma is not available to stream on Netflix. Don’t fret, though. Netflix has tons of similar content streaming right now on its platform. We recommend checking out the action-comedy films Red Notice, Army of Thieves, Murder Mystery, Murder Mystery 2, The Man from Toronto and Spenser Confidential.
As of April 14, the only place where you can watch Mafia Mamma is in theaters. You can purchase tickets to see the movie through its official website. It will then be available for streaming on Showtime within five months of the movie’s release because of the three-year output deal between Bleecker Street and Showtime. You can also expect the film to eventually be available for rent or purchase on digital platforms such as Google Play, Vudu, and Amazon Video sometime after its theater release.
